How agents work

Two kinds of agents. One way to work with them.

Mission Control has two kinds of agents. You reach both the same way: message them in Messages, like a coworker, and keep long topics in threads. They differ in who they work for and who can see them.

Works for you

SuperGloo

Your personal assistant

Every member has their own SuperGloo. It works as you across messages, calendars, tasks, projects, the Library, and the tools you connect. Your conversation with it is yours alone.

  • Private to you, on the Mac, on iPhone, and over iMessage
  • Runs in the cloud, so it works from your phone whether or not your Mac is online
  • Reaches only the folders on your Mac that you grant
  • Asks first before it deletes something or sends to other people

Best for your own drafts, errands, and follow-ups.

Works for the workspace

Public Agents

Shared members with their own desk in the cloud

Public Agents have a name, a title, and instructions. Most belong to a project, and only that project's members can see or message them. They keep working when every laptop is closed.

  • Project agents are visible only to that project's members
  • Workspace-wide agents can be open to everyone or limited to an allowlist
  • Keep shared memory in the Workspace Wiki
  • Use the connections an admin sets up for them, never your personal accounts

Best for recurring work and questions a whole project or workspace shares.

A Public Agent remembers what you share with it in the Workspace Wiki, where other people can read it, and messages with it are not private from others who can see that agent. Keep strictly private work with SuperGloo.

When to use which

  • Ask SuperGloo when the work is yours alone: cleaning up a draft, an errand across your own accounts, digging through a folder on your Mac, or trying something before you share it.
  • Ask a Public Agent when a project or the whole workspace should be able to ask the same helper: summarizing a channel, a weekly report on a schedule, or answering questions while you are offline.

Privacy and trust

  • Your Mac stays yours

    SuperGloo reaches only the folders you grant and confirms before it writes, moves, or deletes anything in them. Nothing on your Mac is uploaded for Public Agents to browse.

  • Agents see what is shared with them

    A Public Agent works with the channels, Library, boards, and calendars of the projects it belongs to, the wiki spaces it can access, and the connections an admin attaches.

  • Sensitive steps still need a person

    SuperGloo asks before it sends to other people. Public Agents stop and ask with a card before they change an automation or reach into a new project.
